Johns Hopkins Community Physicians (JHCP) is currently seeking a Social Work Manager. The Social Work Manager provides administrative and supervisory services for the Social Work Department, as well as clinical Social Work services throughout the JHCP clinical practices. Provides administration direction and support to Patient Services Department who is responsible for assisting uninsured and underinsured patients, managing patient complaints, and addressing billing issues. Social Work Manager performs crisis intervention, problem-solving, psycho-social assessment, advocacy, interviewing, information/referral and community liaison. Prepares and oversees Department budget; explains variances, monitors expenditures, obtains appropriate Administrative approval for special purchases, monitors salary-related issues (e.g. temporary staffing, market-adjustments). Acts as a liaison with community agencies, state and local agencies, etc. Participates in community advisory boards, health fairs, etc.
Current Maryland licensure with the Board of Social Work Examiners at the LCSW-C level.
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field is required.
A minimum of five years of post-graduate Social Work experience in a health care setting, including three years of supervisory experience.
Position requires travel to Practices as needed.
