Collaborative Support Programs of NJ (CSPNJ), a peer led not-for-profit organization, seeks Mental Health Service Workers based in Absecon, NJ. Full-time positions with M-F day hours. Mental Health Support Workers will work with individuals who are receiving services and are living and recovering from a psychiatric disability and/or substance abuse disorder. This is an entry level position and a great opportunity for individuals seeking to gain experience in Mental Health and Rehabilitation services.
CSPNJ prioritizes hiring people who have lived experience with using mental health services or who are in recovery and can model that recovery is possible. Our model is based on using the lived experience of individuals to model hope and be an example that recovery is possible.

Qualifications: Bachelors in Mental Health discipline -OR- any combination of education and or work experience that is equivalent is required. For example, HS diploma + 4 years full-time working with individuals that have a psychiatric disability in a residential setting. Valid NJ Drivers' License is required. Excellent written and verbal skills, strong assessment skills and organizational skills are required. Must have good judgement and the ability to manage crisis in a positive and supportive manner. Moderate computer skills or the ability to proficiently use various cloud based programs to track and enter daily notes.

Additional Salary Information: SALARY is based on highest education level completed and ranges from low to mid 30's.
