ChristianaCare is searching for a part time (40 hrs/pay) psychologist to join its team of embedded psychologists to work in Metabolic Health Services. The multidisciplinary program is located in our Wilmington campus, a 321-bed teaching hospital in Wilmington, DE. The work schedule is Monday, Tuesday and every other Friday (8 hr shifts); no weekend call. Patient care provided both in person and virtually.
Key Job Duties:
Provides program development, coordination of care, and assessment services for Metabolic Health Services that includes bariatric assessments for the bariatric surgery program and medical/behavioral weight management.
Attend weekly case conference with bariatric team & communicate with members of surgical group on patient concerns.
Provided individual psychotherapy to patients following bariatric surgery as well as those seeking behavioral weight management.
Provides monthly educational groups for bariatric surgery patients.
Contributes in process improvement and educational initiatives with the team of embedded psychologists.
Position Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D./Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited psychology program, a pre-doctoral internship from an APA-accredited site, and experience in a medical setting. Candidates must be eligible for license in Delaware. Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team is preferred.
