Responsibilities
The Neuropsychology Medical Director responsibilities include all Clinical Neuropsychological responsibilities of assessing, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating brain-based disorders, exploring different treatments and their effectiveness on diminishing brain functionality, and researching to advance our understanding of brain-based conditions that impact cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning, (as listed below). In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Medical Director will develop the Division of Neuropsychology within the Neuroscience Service line. The Medical Director will act as the Program Champion and partner with neurologists and neurosurgeons to develop and implement policies/protocols for testing in the perioperative setting; Craniotomy (brain tumor cases), Epilepsy and Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS). This position will work on optimizing workflows and identifying resource needs throughout the system.
Qualifications
Education:
Doctoral degree in clinical psychology with a neuropsychology concentration and fellowship training in neuropsychology
Licenses and Certifications:
Licensure (or license-eligible) for practice of Psychology in the State of NJ
Board Certification (or board-eligible) in Clinical Neuropsychology preferred
Experience:
7+ years of practice in neuropsychology required
leadership experience preferred
