California Lutheran University’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is seeking qualified applicants for Director, to join and lead a small and talented team. This position requires a master’s or doctoral degree within the mental health field, and licensed or license-eligible to practice in the state of California. The Director enjoys overseeing CAPS with high levels of autonomous decision-making authority, with support from the Vice President for Student Affairs, to best serve Cal Lutheran students and community, and has full oversight and control over CAPS’ Goods & Services budget including lines for professional development and malpractice insurance. The Director also receives university benefits including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid vacation and sick time, free access to the fitness facility and library, and free parking; as well as paid holiday time over Winter Break, for all university-observed holidays, and accrual of an annual "floating holiday."

Minimum Qualifications: Any combination equivalent to: MSW, MFT, Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field and five years of post-licensure experience in a college or university counseling center including demonstration of progressive administrative/supervisory responsibilities in a college or university counseling center.
Desired Qualifications: Seven years of progressive administrative/supervisory experience in a college or university counseling center.
