The Senior Social Worker Supportive Services for Veterans Families (SSVF) Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Specialist will work with SSVF grantees and VA Homeless Program staff to engage Veterans experiencing SUD concerns. Interventions will include but not be limited to connecting Veterans with SUD specialty care or residential services, to reduce Veteran homelessness and promote Veterans' housing stability, self-sufficiency, independence, and overall well-being. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
