This position is located in the Social Work Service at the Albany VA Medical Center in Albany, New York. The incumbent holds a valid state license to practice social work from a fully accredited program granted by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). The Social Worker functions as part of the staff in the Mental Health Service providing psychotherapy in the outpatient mental health clinic to couples and families. May be required to travel to more than one clinic. Applicants pending the completion of educational, or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
