Social Worker-Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP)
The Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) Social Worker provides a full range of Mental Health services to the population enrolled at the Hershel "Woody" Williams VAMC. As part of the BHIP team, the BHIP Social Worker conducts mental health assessments, develop treatment plans, and utilizes a wide range of evidenced based therapeutic techniques in the delivery of supportive counseling, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention services. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
