Nemours Children's Health - Delaware (previously Nemours/A. I. duPont Hospital for Children) is seeking an experienced, evidence-based counselor/therapist to join our School-Based Health Program team. Nemours is excited to partner with the Seaford School District in Seaford, Delaware to deliver high-quality, team-based medical and behavioral health care in a new elementary school-based health center (SBHC) at Frederick Douglass Elementary School. Our team brings together a deep commitment to the community with pediatric clinical excellence to care for patients in the locations that are most accessible to them.
We are seeking a counselor/therapist for the role of Behavioral Health Therapist. Our ideal candidate would be skilled at working with interprofessional medical and educational teams to deliver integrated, evidence-based care. This position will focus on providing group and individual evidence-based therapy, consultation and coordination with teams, screening and referral, and professional development. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as well as a desire to collaborate with other professionals in a mission-driven environment to make a strong positive impact on the community. Opportunities for telehealth and remote work may be possible.
Day to day activities will be within the SBHC team, and the therapist will also be linked to the Division of Behavioral Health at Nemours. Teaching, training, and mentoring are core values in our Division and these efforts are supported and encouraged. Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy program
Independent licensure or license eligible in Delaware (LCSW, LPCMH, LMFT)
3-5 years' experience working with children and/or adolescents.
