MultiCare is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their Adolescent Behavioral Unit at the Tacoma General Hospital for weekend in patient coverage, in person or telemedicine. Work with a collegial team of physicians, advanced practice providers, licensed clinical social workers, and therapists.**There may be opportunity to do telemedicine**Desired Skills/Qualifications:Psychiatry ARNP with child & adolescent experienceBoard certification in area of licensure1-3 years of experience working with the adolescent population preferredWell versed in EPIC EMRInpatient psychiatric prescribing experienceExpectations for weekend coverage on the unit:
Will be covering a maximum of 12 patients which will include 1-2 discharges, 1-2 new admits and the rest will be regular progress check ins
All admissions can be voluntary, or Family initiated or Detained children
The legal status is taken care of when patient is initially admitted by intake coordinators and paperwork is reviewed by intake nurse
Discharges are also mostly prepared by weekday clinician and weekend clinician will only do the Mental status check in and Suicide risk assessment
