Clinical Training Director

Reports to: CEO and Clinical Director.
Key Operations Responsibilities (~10 hours/week):
Help maintain and grow our training program including doctoral practicum students and our training programs for doctoral interns and APPIC postdoctoral fellows.
Address questions and concerns from your clinical trainees, in a professional and confident manner.
Design, communicate, and oversee the implementation of training operations, policies, and procedures.
Assist in conducting all interviews for trainees, call references, and make appropriate decisions on selecting trainees, pre-doc, and post-docs for our clinic.
Develop and implement trainee progress tracking systems.
Onboard and train all trainees.
In partnership with the CEO and Clinical Director continually look for ways to evolve and improve the operational efficiency of systems and processes impacting the trainees and trainee-related office operations.
Conduct continual checks on training clinicians’ notes, reports, and schedules to determine quality control.
Participate in trainees’ reviews with the Clinical Director.
Follow up on projects given to you by the management team which may include (but is not limited to) trainee recruiting, marketing, assessment efficiencies for trainees, and growth of the business utilizing trainees.
Help the clinic move to being APA accredited.
Direct Clinical Services 30 hours a week:
Carry a consistent testing load of 2 testing cases a week.
Assume responsibility for your caseload as appropriate for the type of service provided.
Reinforce clinical services and trainee’s adherence to the practice’s standards, values, and quality of care.
Participate in mandatory team meetings and lead didactic trainings.
Conduct supervision for pre-, and post-doctoral fellows, and practicum students as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Must hold a PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology.
Must have an unrestricted and active license in the area of degree and hold a valid and good standing license in the state of California; PhD, or PsyD
Continue to maintain all professional licenses and keep current with medical literature and CEs appropriate to specialty.
Strong leadership and management skills to oversee and coordinate clinical training programs effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information effectively to trainees, colleagues, clients, and families.
Proficiency in organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of relevant ethical guidelines and regulations governing clinical training programs and clinical practice.
Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices in psychology.
Ability to assess the needs of trainees and adapt training programs accordingly.
Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and obstacles that arise during training.
Proficiency in using technology for training purposes, such as video conferencing platforms, electronic health records systems, and online learning management systems.
A clear background check is required for employment.
