Hillcrest Psychological Associates is an established, clinician-led group practice serving adults across California. We provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed psychotherapy with a strong emphasis on clinical excellence, consultation, and professional growth. Our client population includes a high percentage of LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and college-educated adults seeking thoughtful, evidence-based care.

We are currently seeking a Licensed Psychologist to join our La Jolla office in a combined clinical and supervisory role.

The Opportunity

This position is ideal for psychologists who enjoy both direct clinical work and mentoring developing clinicians. You will carry a manageable caseload while supervising 1–3 post-doctoral associates within a well-supported, collaborative group practice.

Our structure allows you to focus on high-quality care and supervision while administrative, billing, scheduling, and insurance work are fully handled for you. You will also be supported through insurance credentialing and paneling as part of your role.

You’ll enjoy autonomy in building your schedule, a steady referral flow, and a collaborative environment where professional development is genuinely prioritized.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy to adults with low-to-moderate acuity presentations including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to 1–3 post-doctoral associates 
• Participate in regular consultation and supervision groups
• Maintain ethical and clinical standards consistent with California Board of Psychology guidelines
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure excellence in care delivery

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology
• Active California psychologist license 
• Eligible and interested in supervising post-doctoral associates 
• At least one year of post-licensure experience preferred
• Commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and inclusive clinical practice
• Experience or interest in CBT, ACT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, or related modalities
