SOCIAL WORKER PROGRAM COORDINATOR (SUICIDE PREVENTION)
Incumbent is a professional social worker whose duties and responsibilities relate to the facility's suicide prevention program and case management/treatment of veterans who are identified as "high risk" for suicide or suicide behaviors. The incumbent must use a high level of skill in assessing and treating the complicated psychosocial problems of at-risk veterans as they transition from inpatient to outpatient care. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. English Language Proficiency.
