In the Emergency Department setting,provides consultation and assessment of patient's psychiatric and chemical dependency issues. Arranges for inpatient or outpatient treatment as clinically indicated including patients who do not have Kaiser coverage. Works with EPRP/BHL and law enforcement to arrange for the direct admission of Kaiser patients to contract psychiatric hospitals.
