The Emergency Department (ED) Senior Social Worker provides assessment and intervention support to the Emergency Department/ Emergency Room providers through a recovery-based program. The social worker supports the Emergency Department/ Emergency Room providers by providing mental health assessment and treatment recommendations. The social worker must be able to develop appropriate professional relationships with the Veterans and meet the Veterans where they are in the Recovery Process. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Education. Have a master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
