**Initial salary step placement for new employees is customarily at step 1, 2, or 3 ($6,921.00 / $7,318.00 / $7,712.00) of this 20-step salary range.
The Santa Clarita Community College District/College of the Canyons is seeking a full-time Mental Health Clinical Therapist (Student Health & Wellness Center) in the Student Services division on the Valencia Campus.

"BIG PICTURE" RESPONSIBILITY:
Under the direction of the Director, Student Health & Wellness, the Mental Health Clinical Therapist provides crisis intervention, develops, administers, coordinates, evaluates, and promotes mental health and wellness services; may require supervision of employees and/or interns. Assist in the overall mental health offerings of the District, including but not limited to, mental health therapy one on one appointments, workshops, group therapy sessions, wellness center offerings, and general duties within a Student Health and Wellness Center.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
Two (2) years of full-time equivalent administrative/office support experience in community colleges, universities, high schools, community agencies, or similar work in a medical office, clinic or hospital setting
Education:
Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work.
Licenses and Other Requirements:
Candidates must possess a valid license in the state of California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT; Licensed Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC: Marriage, Family and Child Counseling (MFCC); Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor (LMFC) and/or Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
May periodically be required to travel to a variety of locations. If operating a vehicle, employees must have the ability to secure and maintain a valid California driver's license.
All licenses/certifications, to practice in the State of California, must be maintained throughout course of employment)
